hi eisa, nice idea to make sites graphic rich. recently i came across a free silverlight chart control from visifire . i used the chart designer tool in their site to create my charts in minutes. it generates the html code which can be embedded in web page.

Yes, and please try to figure out how you will teach these skills effectively in Kuwait. You can see that it’s not all about the equipment, but rather, the way you think about the story.

Anyone can point a camera at a public official and press the red button. You don’t need journalism training to do that alone.

I agree with most of your evaluation of this package. I liked the idea behind the package as well. I think most people keep up with the horse race and candidates’ personal lives because the media makes this news easy to access and understand on television and in cute feature stories. But I think MSNBC’s matrix is an easy way for even the least issues-oriented viewer to be updated on where candidates and voters stand. I liked that is was easy to navigate between the candidates and issues while seeing the whole matrix. This probably saves participants a lot of time.

I liked the way you looked at how the design related to the package’s user-friendliness. I agree that more white space and a more simple ratings scale could help viewers better understand the information. At some points the reds and greens do tend to blur in an unattractive way that can be confusing.
